Such an awful thing to happen. But his writing almost makes you feel like you're there with him through the whole thing. Reading this books just made me wish I could hold him and tell him everything was going to be alright.
I read this book a long time ago and cried through the whole thing. What a horrible, horrible way to grow up and have your childhood snatched from you!
This is one of those books that I was completely unable to put down... He is a truly incredible man for surviving that and becoming the person he is today.

OMG, I read this a while back and now just seeing the cover gives me chills. I cannot imagine a childhood like that.
This is an amazing book. Great choice.
I didnt read this one,but i read the lost boy and its so sad.At some points i cried,and your right now child should be treated like that.
